Trump Takes Immediate Action After SEAL Death

President Trump has had a lot of firsts in the past 10 days, and sadly had to add another to the list - the first military death of his presidency.
During the first military action under Trump, 14 members of al Qaeda were killed in Yemen and four U.S. servicemen were injured. A Navy SEAL was also killed, marking the first military member to die during the new administration.
“The sacrifices made by the men and women of our armed forces, and the families they leave behind, are the backbone of the liberty we hold so dear as Americans, united in our pursuit of a safer nation and a freer world. My deepest thoughts and humblest prayers are with the family of this fallen service member,” Trump said in a statement, Newsiosity reported.
Planning for the raid that killed the SEAL began under President Obama, an official told the Daily Beast. Ground troops were reportedly used to gather information at the scene of the raid.

“This was a deliberate raid planned well in advance,” the official said. “It was not  top-down driven—percolated from the operators the ground,” the official, who spoke anonymously, told the site.
General Joseph Votel, U.S. Central Command chief, also issued a statement acknowledging the service member’s death.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our elite service members,” he said. “The sacrifices are very profound in our fight against terrorists who threaten innocent peoples across the globe.”
The news of Trump’s statement and the raid under the new president quickly went viral, with many applauding the president for responding so quickly.
“Now this is what a American President is and does. A true American patriot. Great job Mr President Trump,” one Newsiosity reader wrote on the site’s Facebook page.
“Thank you for your service . May you RIP,” another wrote in honor of the fallen service member.
