It is a well-known fact that a good night`s sleep is very important, but few people know that the position for sleeping is as important as well. In fact, it is crucial for the overall health, particularly when it comes to the digestive system.  Long ago, even the monks used to lie down after a meal to stimulate digestion.

According to the oldest Oriental medicine, meaning the Ayurvedic medicine, the sleeping position is very important. This folk medicine recommends sleeping on the left side of the body.

Ayurveda medicine explains that sleeping on the left side is extremely beneficial and it provides many advantages. Among them are:
